The poet of all Armenians was indeed great and talented not only as a poet, but also as a man unconditionally devoted to his nation, whose conscious life burnt for his people. In thօse fatal years, Toumanyan’s patriotism was displayed in different spheres and ways: he gave birth to valuable patriotic poems, numerous public and political articles, very important records and diaries.
