This article is about the Travelogue of an Armenian religious traveller, Sargis Monk, and especially about the language used in this work. Travelogue was very popular genre in medieval Armenia. Armenian travellers described dif­ferent places, while visiting Europe and many other places. Sargis Monk visited almost all the countries in Europe and described them in his work, giving a lot of interesting historical information about them. This Travelogue is ve­ry interesting from the linguistic point of view. Actually the lan­guage used in this work is a kind of modern armenian containing both classical and modern Armenian linguistic aspects.
